Paul Kaplowitz, MD, Endowed Lectureship

Dr. Paul Kaplowitz, in collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Pediatric Endocrine Society, has established the Paul Kaplowitz, MD, Endowed Lectureship for contributions to cost-effective care and quality improvement in pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Kaplowitz has long been interested in finding ways to reduce unnecessary testing and treatment, particularly in the areas of early puberty and subclinical hypothyroidism. He would like PES to recognize at our annual meeting a member of our community who has advocated for cost-effective practice and/ or quality improvement and has published in this area. The award recipient will present a lecture focused on their work in this area during the Pediatric Endocrine Society Annual Meeting.
